Semee Yoon

Semee Yoon graduated from Columbia in 2015. 

Her research interests lie primarily at the nexus of development and environment to enhance livelihoods of the poor. She is also interested in innovative solutions to alleviate poverty and pursue environmental sustainability. She has worked on impact evaluation of various solar energy solutions in India. Currently, she is working on the microeconomic analysis of Vietnamese households' livelihoods; transboundary air pollution and health and gender issues in East and South Asia; STEM education as a mechanism to motivate Tanzanian students; and social entrepreneurship and specialty coffee as a channel to facilitate sustainable development.
